The Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) and business associations signed a cooperation agreement in Hanoi on May 8 in the afternoon. The signing of the agreement demonstrates the commitment to assist the business in enhancing its legal capacity, mitigating future risks, and achieving sustainable growth.
Consequently, VIAC has signed cooperation agreements with 19 industry associations and local associations in Hanoi and Northern provinces, including Vietnam Textile and Garment Association, Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers, National Startup Association, Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, Vietnam Leather, Footwear - Handbag Association, Vietnam Beer Alcohol Beverage Association, Hanoi Small and Medium Enterprises Association, and Vietnam Leather, Footwear - Handbag Association.

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Vu Tien Loc, Chairman of VIAC, stated that in the current era and the upcoming era, businesses must strive for sustainable development, and green development, in addition to improving governance capacity, the enhancement of legal capacity, risk prevention, and dispute resolution are areas that businesses must pay special attention to, and the role of business associations in the current era is crucial.
In addition to assisting businesses in locating and expanding their markets and growing their businesses, associations must promote focal points to collect the difficulties and obstacles faced by businesses and participate in investment consulting. Policy, legal counsel, and support to resolve disputes and safeguard the legitimate interests of members and businesses. Therefore, the signing of a cooperation agreement is of great importance, especially in the current context of business disputes and risks.

In the context of VIAC's future development goals, business associations are vital partners with which the organization wishes to engage in more substantive, systematic coordination activities and greater resource mobilization. originating from VIAC, associations, and international organizations.
These include activities such as legal support, participation in resolving complaints and disputes relating to contract performance by applicable law and each party's conditions and capabilities; Coordinating the examination and formulation of opinions on laws and policies about the fields and activities of the Association's member businesses; Coordinate the organization of contract negotiation, signing, and management seminars, training courses, and exchanges of experiences; Managing risks and contractual disputes; At the request of enterprises, assist them in undergoing digital transformation, enhancing competitiveness, and acquiring other pertinent content; Coordinating the compilation and release of publications, topics, and information pertinent to the activities of both parties; By the functions and responsibilities of each party, coordinate and share information about international cooperation activities of mutual interest.
Also as part of the event, VIAC hosted a seminar entitled "International trade and investment in a volatile world - What should businesses do?" with the presentation of the lead report of Dr. Phan Huu Thang, former Director of the Foreign Investment Department of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Real Estate Association with the same content: "Tendencies of international investment cooperation - issues businesses need interested" and an open discussion moderated by Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, former Deputy Director of the Central Institute of Economic Management and Research, Director.
