There should be regulations on how to receive and handle problems for FDI enterprises

Mr Shon Young-IL - Chairman of the Korean Business Association in Vietnam (KorCham) said Vietnam needs to have regulations on how to receive and handle problems for FDI enterprises.

The “Foreign Investment Ombudsman” appointed by the President, along with experts in each of the fields of finance, taxation, law and labour, through cooperation with the central and local governments of Korea.

"Throughout the operating process, the "Foreign Investment Inspector" will receive complaints from FDI businesses via specialists on the ground, online, and via e-mail. They will review the issues after they have been received. examine the content and transmit it to the appropriate authorities for resolution. These issues will be entered and handled in the relevant agency's customer management system, and the firm will be notified of the final resolution results "Mr Shon Young-IL said.

According to Mr Shon Young-IL, the problem-solving process of the "Foreign Investment Inspector" is actively and effectively operated by going directly to enterprises when necessary to deeply understand the problem, instead of just receiving feedback from the department and discussing ideas on behalf of the business with relevant agencies.

In addition, the "Foreign Investment Inspector" office always informs businesses through each step of the settlement process and receives other questions at any time, thereby creating a positive response from businesses. FDI enterprises invest in Korea.
