DNHN - The tourism industry is expected to rebound strongly and hopefully during the 30/4 and 1/5 holidays. Accordingly, this is an ideal and vibrant time for the tourism industry to welcome domestic and international visitors.
After about two years of restrictions and limitations caused by the pandemic, the tourism industry is witnessing a marked recovery. The reopening of tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants and entertainment activities has created a wave of interest and desire to explore. Tour operators, bus companies, airlines and other tourism service providers are ready to meet the needs of visitors during this holiday.
To promote tourism and attract visitors, special promotions have been widely implemented. Hotels, resorts and other tourism services have discounted, given gifts and provided attractive packages. These offers not only attract domestic tourists but also attract international tourists. In addition, domestic tours are also flexibly and diversely designed to meet the needs of each customer segment.
Despite the recovery, the tourism industry still needs to pay special attention to strengthening disease prevention measures. Hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions strictly implement hygiene regulations and vaccinate staff. Ensuring the safety of visitors is a top priority. In addition, the use of epidemic tracking applications and the continued implementation of disease prevention measures such as wearing masks and social distancing are also recommended.
According to information from Saigontourist Travel Service Company, the company has built more than 200 domestic and foreign tour itineraries, serving more than 110,000 visitors with more than 350 departing groups nationwide. In which, road tours are increasing and very hot. The domestic tour schedule during 30/4 and 1/5 also has many experiences, ensuring interesting, selective, special, and diverse means of transportation such as aeroplanes or trains, cars, and high-speed boats.
A representative of Saigontourist Travel said that on the occasion of the 30/4 - 1/5 holiday this year, the unit focused on exploiting combo products. From 2024, up to 30% of Saigontourist’s all-inclusive tourism products will be replaced by combo products, because many families have their cars, and transportation is increasingly convenient, so they choose a combo to create their tourism products. suitable for individual needs, family…
To attract visitors on the occasion of the 30/4 and 1/5 holiday, summer tourism, TST Tourist Company simultaneously launched 63 domestic and foreign tours, with a total of 163 departures. However, the average number of guests per tour is only 20 people to ensure the quality of service, all tours have discounts and valuable gifts for each market.
According to the records of travel agencies, the northern region has a high number of room bookings for tours travelling by road with destinations near Hanoi such as Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Sa Pa (Lao Cai), Moc Chau (Son La), etc. The Northwest and Northeast tour routes are the choice of many families.
Along with that, in the Central and Southern regions, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Yen, Quy Nhon, Phu Quoc, Mui Ne, and Vung Tau are also destinations that receive much attention. However, these destinations are facing a situation of skyrocketing airfares, especially for routes with departure schedules during the holidays. Some of the routes with the highest airfare increases are Hanoi-Nha Trang, Hanoi-Phu Quoc, Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City… Therefore, both travel companies and tourists have to find ways to cope to reduce travel costs due to increased airfares.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoan, General Director of Flamingo Redtours, said that airfares have long accounted for about 50% of the cost of the tour, so when airfares increase, the price of the tour also increases. Visitors have to recalculate, instead of flying, they travel by train or car to suitable destinations.
Thus, the 30/4 and 1/5 holiday in 2024 is creating a bright opportunity for the tourism industry. The recovery is underway and disease prevention measures are being strengthened. Attractive promotions and the interest of visitors have brought hope to the tourism industry in the coming time. However, maintaining disease prevention measures is very important to ensure safety for everyone. Let’s enjoy this holiday together and support the tourism industry to return with new strength.
