Thanh Hoa has attracted about 13.5 billion USD in international investment

DNHN - Nghi Son Economic Zone (EZ) and Industrial Parks (IZs) of Thanh Hoa province have attracted 671 projects, including 605 domestic investment projects with a total registered investment capital of 169,333 billion VND and 66 foreign investment projects (FDI) with a total registered investment capital of more than 13.5 billion USD, after a period of implementing policies calling for investment attraction.

Currently, Thanh Hoa province is promoting a request for direct investment capital in the year 2021-2025. As a result, the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Decision 371/QD-UBND approving the list of projects calling for investment capital. The province calls for 87 projects in the fields of industry, high-tech agriculture, low-cost agriculture, infrastructure, tourism and services, energy, and so on, totalling more than 36.5 billion USD. There are over 50 projects in Thanh Hoa province centred on Nghi Son EZ and industrial zones.
In the field of industry, processing, and manufacturing, there are projects such as the Paper and Energy Factory (in Nghi Son EZ) with a capacity of 10 tons of pulp per year, 1.2 million tons of tissue paper per year, and a 250MW biomass power plant, with a total estimated investment of about 3 billion USD; and the factory for manufacturing electronic and computer components (Lam Son - Sao Vang Industrial Park, Nghi Son Economic Zone), with a total estimated investment of about 3 billion USD.
