DNHN - Nearly 400 gifts and cash worth over VND 200 million were presented by the SNG Business Connection Community to the poor, orphans, lonely elderly people and poor disabled households in Tien Giang province.
This is an annual programme of SNG Group to share some of the difficulties of the poor, lonely elderly people, orphans, and people with disabilities in provinces and cities across the country.
In the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024, the three destinations this time were Tang Hoa Commune (Go Cong Dong), Go Cong Town, and Minh Dang Pagoda, Tien Giang Province. The programme was attended by more than 40 entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and benefactors. “Nowadays, in modern life, warm and meaningful charity work is spreading in society. Such actions not only bring many values and benefits to the whole society but also bring the meaning of the giver,” said CEO Le Thi Ngoc Hue, Chairwoman of SNG Group.
In addition to helping the “fortunate help the less fortunate,” the trip also brought the delegation members many experiences and emotions. “The trip brought us memorable experiences and many emotions, meeting and interacting with the poor, orphans, lonely elderly people, and poor disabled households. Seeing the smiles and joy on their faces when receiving gifts and the delegation’s attention, we felt happy and grateful for having the opportunity to do something meaningful and practical for the community,” shared Mr Tran Xuan Toan, Founder of SNG Group, Head of the Organising Committee. He also expressed his gratitude to all the members of the charity delegation, their unity, willingness to help, and sharing love with others. The support and consensus of enterprises, benefactors, philanthropists, and the active support of local leaders and everyone contributed to the success of the trip.
“We felt the warmth and love from the people we helped. It was a cherished experience that will always be in our hearts. We hope that this trip will contribute to bringing a little joy and encouragement to the people we met,” Mr Toan added.
As an SNG ambassador, she is also Miss Entrepreneur 2023 - Nguyen Ngoc Hieu believes that charity work is to sow more faith in life for the disadvantaged and to create happiness for oneself. “To Hieu, doing charity means encouraging the unfortunate to overcome their circumstances. Everyone’s life is the same; there are times when it seems like they have set foot on the path of poverty, suffering, and illness and cannot escape. Our help to them, in some cases, makes them feel warmer when they have more faith in life, and feel the warmth of humanity through charity programmes. From there, it helps them have more hope and motivation to overcome difficulties in life,” Ms Hieu shared.
It is known that SNG is a Business and Trade Connection Community Organisation in and outside the country, a voluntary community of entrepreneurs, mainly in small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups, and re-startups nationwide and internationally to support each other, fostering business management and operation capacity, improving the quality and efficiency of production and business activities, supporting consulting, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of member businesses, etc.
