“Overall health check” of enterprises 2022

DNHN - In 2022, the enterprise survey will be a hybrid survey that combines the whole survey with a sampling survey. The investigation took place between April 15, 2022, and May 30, 2022.

Collecting information to make policies and plans to develop the entire economy

In 2022, the enterprise survey will collect data on enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative unions (collectively referred to as enterprises) to aid in the management, administration, assessment, and forecasting of the socioeconomic, policymaking, and development plans for the entire economy and each locality. 

Additionally, the enterprise survey in 2022 is used to calculate the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Gross Domestic Product in the province and centrally-run city (GRDP) in 2021, as well as other statistical indicators from the System of National Accounts and the Economic Sectors Statistical Indicators.

Furthermore, the survey results are used to produce the "Corporate White Paper 2023" and the "White Paper on Cooperatives 2023"; the database is updated as a sample of statistical surveys on firms... 

Conducting enterprise surveys in 63 provinces and cities 

Regarding the scope, the enterprise survey in 2022 is conducted in 63 provinces and cities directly under the Central Government (for short, provinces and cities) for enterprises with production and business activities in all regions. branches in Vietnam's Economic Sector System (VSIC 2018), except for 3 branches: Sector O - Activities of the Communist Party, socio-political organizations, state management, national defence and security, and social assurance Obligatory; Sector U - Activities of international organizations and agencies; Sector T - Employment activities in households, production of material products and services for self-consumption of households (because the respondents did not arise in these industries).

The object of investigation is an organization or individual that satisfies the following conditions: Having a definite location in the Vietnamese territory to directly perform or manage and operate production and business activities; having a head who is responsible for managing and operating operations, and having professional workers; has a continuous or periodic operation time according to the season or business practice; each grassroots unit is located in only one commune, ward or township (hereinafter referred to as commune level) and conducts only one type of economic activity in the level 3 economic sector. 

Investigate businesses and corporations

The investigation unit is enterprises and corporations, corporations. Which, an enterprise is an organization with its name, assets, transaction office, established or registered for the establishment and governed by the Law on Enterprises; Law on Cooperatives, Union of Cooperatives, people's credit funds operating under the Law on Cooperatives and enterprises established, governed by specialized laws such as Insurance Law, Securities Law,… 

Groups and corporations include 64 groups, corporations and enterprises with accounting activities in the whole industry (including 03 groups and corporations under the management of the Ministry of National Defense).

Regarding the content, the enterprise survey in 2022 collects the following information: Identification information; Information on labour and income of employees, and Information on results and costs of production and business.

Combine a comprehensive survey with sampling

The enterprise survey in 2022 is a survey that implements the entire survey combined with a sampling survey.

In particular, the full survey applies to all enterprises to collect basic information about identity information, production and business lines, labour, and production and business results. A sampling survey is applied to selected enterprises to expand the survey content, serve the calculation of specialized criteria, and help to improve the quality of the survey, especially for complex and in-depth questions. 

It is expected that the first quarter of 2023 will announce official results

The time of the investigation was conducted on April 15, 2022. The criteria collected by the time of the suatey are specified in each survey form.

The period of information collection for the survey's indicators is the year 2021. Indicators are collected by periods such as Produa action and business results, realized investment capital, and production output. and several other metrics.

The investigation period was conducted from April 15, 2,022 to the end of May 30, 2022.

According to the General Statistics Office, the enterprise survey in 2022 would be conducted indirectly through the collecting of data online. The survey units provide information on the General Statistics Office's enterprise survey website. 

It is expected that in the first quarter of 2023, the official results of the investigation and compilation of the Enterprise White Paper and the Cooperative White Paper will be announced.
