Online conference on investment promotion with China

DNHN - On April 12, 2022, the Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee organized an online conference with Becamex IDC Corporation and China Construction Bank.

Mme Li Xiang, Deputy General Director of the China Construction Bank (CCB), and over 100 Chinese enterprises were at the China Bridge.

"In 2021, the COVID-19 epidemic will continue to hurt the country’s economic picture and the province," warned Tran Van Mi, vice chairman of the Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee. Despite this, the province has made great economic growth and development progress.

It presently includes 13 industrial parks totalling 6,061 hectares, 11 of which have secondary investors. Among Binh Phuoc's industrial parks, Becamex-Binh Phuoc Industrial and Urban Complex stand out. Becamex IDC will soon continue to build Dong Phu Industrial and Residential Park on hundreds of hectares and will provide a broad range of services and utilities to ensure the satisfaction of investors.

The industrial parks are vast and well-equipped. The Becamex-Binh Phuoc Industrial and Urban Complex have authorized 49 projects totalling 2,450 hectares. Premier Pham Minh Chinh recently launched Hayat Kimya Vietnam Co., Ltd.'s plant in Binh Phuoc's Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park and Becamex IDC.

Phase 1 of the effort generated $100 million in revenue and employed over 500 employees. This open-investment climate and Binh Phuoc province's potential and advantages attract foreign corporations to invest, maintain and develop export activities of products and services.

Currently, the province has 347 foreign investment projects of 3.3 billion USD, including 102 Chinese enterprises worth 510 million USD. The province's main investment categories include footwear, furniture, textiles, electronics, plastic accessories, and agricultural processing, with 15.5 per cent of total FDI coming from the US.

The meeting provided a chance for all sides to communicate and discuss the possibilities and prospects for foreign investment in Binh Phuoc and the Becamex-Binh Phuoc Industrial Park.

Concerns about transportation infrastructure between Binh Phuoc and Ho Chi Minh City were also raised. Worker salaries, investment-friendly zones and industries are among them.
