OCOP Summer Fair opens in Ha Long city

DNHN - The One Commune One Product (OCOP) fair - Summer 2022 was officially launched on April 28 at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center in Ha Long city.

The fair includes 227 standard kiosks which will display and sell over 1,250 typical products and groups of product produced by more than 200 businesses from 42 provinces and cities nationwide.
Notably, there are 10 kiosks giving people and businesses essential guidance to participate in e-commerce activities.
Plenty of booths displaying and selling craft products, fine art furniture, ceramics, cuisine, etc. are open to the public at the yard of the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center.
Customers are able to purchase goods online at some domestic e-commerce platforms such as Voso.vn and Postmart.vn.
Also in this area, two beer brands of Hanoi, Tsingtao are organizing the activiy "free beer” from 6pm to 7pm as part of the Summer Beer Festival - Ha Long 2022.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Pham Van Thanh, underlined that OCOP Fair - Summer 2022 acted as an attractive tourism product for tourists in the peak time of tourism in summer.
The fair is also significant part of a series of activities celebrating the event of the 31st SEA Games in Quang Ninh and responding to the program titled "Hello summer in Ha Long - Quang Ninh" which is going to be held with the message "Safe Tourism - Full experience", he added.
This fair is expected be a bridge connecting businesses and cooperatives to their target markets, partners and potential customers in the new normal situation.
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee announced 89 local OCOP products rated between 3 and 5 stars in 2021, of which 64 products achieved 3 stars, 22 products achieved 4 stars, and 3 products with 5- star potential. So far, the province has a total of 267 OCOP products with 3 stars and over.
The fair will last until May 3, 2022.
Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Summer 2022 is an annual event enlisted in the Quang Ninh OCOP Program, significantly contributing to the promotion of OCOP Quang Ninh products, serving the consumption needs of people and tourists, and creating a premise for the development of services.
Having been launched since October, 2013, the “Quang Ninh province - One commune, one specific product” program aims to develop and promote traditional products which has a competitive advantage, contributing to restructuring the economy in urban Quang Ninh and satisfying the criteria on “economy and organizational form of production", one of national criteria for building a new countryside.
