DNHN - On the morning of July 12 at the Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province and the Government of Nebraska State (United States) signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a cooperative relations

On the side of the State of Nebraska - USA, there was Mr. Jim Pillen - Governor of Nebraska, as Head of the delegation; Ms. Joanne Li - Rector of the University of Nebraska-Omaha; Mr. Rustum Nyquist – Representative of the Consulate General of the United States in Ho Chi Minh City and the leading representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economic Development of Nebraska State.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding, the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province and the Government of Nebraska State will jointly make efforts to build a sustainable relationship, based on the results of cooperation, and join hands to contribute to the socio-economic development of each party. Which, the two will strengthen the friendly relationship and expand cooperation activities in the fields of planning, infrastructure development, urban construction, economic development, science and technology, health, and education.
After signing this Memorandum of Understanding, the two parties will prioritize promoting cooperation in science and technology, trade promotion and investment cooperation in the fields of industry and high-tech services, education, training, improving human capital and supply chain value, and education. Concurrently, create all favorable conditions for business delegations from both locations to learn and promote trade and investment promotion activities by their respective capabilities and strengths.
Specifically, during the program, Eastern International University - invested by Becamex IDC Corporation - and the University of Nebraska - Ohama signed a Memorandum of Understanding. With similar training in fields such as science and technology, medicine, engineering, economics, etc. The signing not only creates favorable conditions for development cooperation between the two entities, but also opens up opportunities for learning, research, and development for students via experiential activities, student exchanges, academic projects, etc.
It is well known that one of Eastern International University's primary objectives is to expand its cooperation activities with prestigious domestic and international educational and business partners. The strong connection network is the foundation for the University to share, update, and perfect the training program to accommodate the continuous development of society; it also contributes to the creation of community-wide positive values.
Earlier on the same day, while visiting EIU - the core element of the three-house linkage: state - school - entrepreneur in Binh Duong province's innovation ecosystem, Mr. Jim Pillen - Governor of Nebraska state expressed interest and appreciation for the modern learning environment as well as the University's investment in developing the Innovation Ecosystem. This model creates a great deal of value for EIU's internal learning - research - entrepreneurship, and it also contributes to the dissemination and promotion of an entrepreneurial mindset. And provide numerous services in the field of start-up - innovation for the community, with a focus on training and technology transfer.
During his visit to the EIU Fablab, Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC), and Vietnam-Singapore Industry 4.0 Innovation Centre (VSIIC), Mr. Pillen praised the contributions of each unit. Mr. Pillen also paid special attention to the Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) at EIU, whose mission is to support start-up businesses in the manufacturing and processing industries.
This is an important nucleus for attracting brain resources, investment, capacity development, and human resources to serve the province of Binh Duong and the Southern Key Economic Zone in their innovation efforts.
