DNHN - Thai and Vietnamese enterprises in Savannakhet, as well as Thai businesses in Quang Tri, are all running well.
On the afternoon of June 24, a conference on trade, investment, tourism, labour, and communication cooperation between three provinces of Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand was conducted. The collaboration is being carried out by three provinces: Quang Tri (Vietnam), Savannakhet (Lao PDR), and Mukdahan (Kingdom of Thailand).
In addition to the delegations from three provinces and three countries, attendees at this conference included representatives from the Lao Embassy in Vietnam, the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Savannakhet province (Lao PDR) and Khonkaen province (Kingdom of Thailand), the Association of Overseas Vietnamese and Overseas Vietnamese Businesses in Thailand, state agencies, businesses, and press agencies in Quang Tri province (Socialist Republic of Vietnam), Savannakhet province and Mukdahan province.

The Conference on Cooperation in Trade, Investment, Tourism, Labor, and Communication between the three provinces is an activity designed to assess the outcomes of organizing and implementing the Minutes of the Cooperation Conference in the fields of Trade, Investment, Tourism, Labor, and Communication between the three provinces: On November 1, 2019, the Quang Tri - Savannakhet - Mukdahan agreement was signed in Savannakhet province.
Implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Trade, Investment, Tourism, Labor, and Communications signed on November 1, 2019, in the province of Savannakhet by three provinces and three countries: Quang Tri (Socialist Republic of Vietnam), Savannakhet, and Mukdahan.
According to the conference's evaluation, the three provinces have had many beneficial actions in recent years, providing ideal circumstances for the three provinces' and three nations' cooperation in Trade, Investment, Tourism, Labor, and Communication.
In the field of Trade and Investment, the three provinces have taken numerous measures to remove barriers to business, such as: carrying out immigration procedures at the border gate, changing drivers at the border gate, and creating the most favourable conditions for the purchase and transportation of agricultural products and goods...
Thai and Vietnamese businesses in Savannakhet, as well as Thai businesses in Quang Tri, are all doing well and effectively. In terms of tourism, the three provinces have disseminated and promoted the potential and benefits of tourism along the East-West Economic Corridor via a variety of mass media outlets, tourist websites, and tourism websites. In terms of labour, Thai provinces such as Mukdahan and Lao provinces such as Savannakhet have regulations in place to assist Lao and Vietnamese employees who choose to remain in Thailand. In the sector of communication, the firm has concentrated on spreading the noble ideals of traditional friendship and comprehensive collaboration across the three provinces of Quang Tri, Savannakhet, and Mukdahan, as well as Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand.
However, due to the emergence of the Covid-19 epidemic and increasingly complicated global developments, 03 countries of Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and 03 provinces of Quang Tri - Savannakhet - Mukdahan should work cooperatively on affected, troubled, and obstructed areas after the Memorandum was signed.
Sustain and improve the partnership between Quang Tri, Savannakhet, and Mukdahan, especially now that the Covid-19 outbreak has been substantially controlled. When the border reopened, the Conference on Cooperation in Trade, Investment, Tourism, Labor, and Communication held in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province, provided opportunities to strengthen the exchange of information and experiences, agree on solutions to problems, continue to open up cooperation mechanisms and create favourable conditions to promote investment and trade, tourism, labour, and communication.
Furthermore, the Conference discussed specific commitments to encourage the parties to implement and organize the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed at the Cooperation Conference between the three provinces and the three countries to achieve greater efficiency in various fields, including trade and investment, travel, labour, communication and promotional activities, and cooperation in other fields.
