DNHN - Gary McKinnon, director of business development at VNG Digital Business, stated that cooperation with reputable data centres will be the key for businesses to lead the trend of rapid digital transformation and increase their competitiveness.
At the Vietnam Cloud Computing and Data Centre 2023 Conference, representatives of VNG and several international businesses discussed the growth of the data/cloud infrastructure in Vietnam and adaptive solutions for Business.
Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan are the three leading data storage complexes in the Asia-Pacific region at present.
To become the digital hub of the region, Vietnam will have to compete with Thailand and Malaysia, among others. Vietnam must improve and further improve its Internet and digital infrastructure to reach its objective.
According to a representative of the Information Security Administration, the government has outlined in numerous programmes and projects the development of digital infrastructure with a focus on developing broadband communication infrastructure and cloud platforms and infrastructure. including the 10-year economic development strategy for the years 2021 to 2030.

According to Mr Gary, the data centre colocation rental market (physical space for placing servers, power systems, bandwidth, and related equipment) is expanding.

According to Arizton, the data centre market in Vietnam will attract more than $1 billion in investment by 2028. Many companies, including Data Centre First, Edge Centres, and Infracrowd Capital, have invested in data centres in Vietnam following the implementation of Decree 53 on data storage.
Consequently, the colocation rental market (physical space for servers, power systems, bandwidth, and related equipment) for data centres continues to expand. Choosing the best leasing partner will result in numerous advantages for businesses.
