Friendship relations have been established between the two cities since 2005, and they have consistently advanced collaboration across various domains, including government, community, and foreign affairs. Saint Petersburg has been designated by Ho Chi Minh City as one of twelve significant partners with whom it is resolved to foster relations shortly.
In his address, Evgeniy Dmitrievich Grigoriev, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Saint Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, expressed his profound admiration for the progress made in the bilateral ties between the two nations and underscored the significance of "systematic cooperation," as defined by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In addition to providing details on over 700,000 small and medium-sized businesses located in Saint Petersburg, he discussed surpassing budgetary obligations in 2023, a development that, in his opinion, bestows significant significance upon enterprises.

A positive development occurred when cooperation agreements between Russian and Vietnamese businesses were signed between Ho Chi Minh City and Saint Petersburg. Ho Chi Minh City's representative, Mr. Tran Phuoc Anh, conveyed his optimism regarding the substantial potential for economic collaboration between the two regions.
Mr. Duong Hoang Minh, the commercial counselor of the Vietnamese embassy in Russia and a Russian partner, paid a visit to the factory on the same day. During this visit, he finalized certain procedures that were necessary before the shipment of GOODCHARME perfume to Russia.

GoodCharme, a Vietnamese company, is among the distinguished attendees at the forum where it has forged a collaboration pact with a Russian counterpart. This collaboration aims to foster stronger business ties between the two countries so that Russian consumers have easier access to high-quality Vietnamese goods.

Enterprises in Saint Petersburg value Ho Chi Minh City's status as a significant economic hub and Vietnam's critical gateway to Asia. The diversity of trade and investment relations between the two cities is crucial for the progress of both parties in a world that is constantly evolving.

Not only is the Ho Chi Minh City-Saint Petersburg Business Forum a significant event in the process of economic and commercial development, but it also signifies a turning point in the expansion of Vietnam and Russia's amicable relationship.
