Ms. Pham Khanh Phong Lan, Head of the Management Board, welcomed the presence of establishments at the Conference so that the Management Board could quickly exchange information and provide guidance to cake-producing and cake-trading establishments in the city on ensuring and preventing food safety incidents. The Management Board hopes that businesses and establishments will continue to strictly comply with legal regulations in their respective fields to reduce poisoning incidents and contribute to the provision of truly healthy, safe food for consumers.
On the occasion of the Conference, the heads of the Management Board's specialised departments provided production and commercial establishments with detailed information about the food safety situation. The Food Poisoning Management Department specifically reports the poisoning situation for the first nine months of 2023. The Licencing Department instructs businesses on how to locate legal foundations and related legal documents. about the industry, including conditions to ensure food safety when producing and trading bakery products, labelling methods, and regulations on the use of additives to comply with legal regulations during the circulation of goods.
Concerning product quality management, the Food Quality Management Department has outlined and documented the basis of origin, quality control for input raw materials, and labelling notes according to production batch to facilitate the tracing, processing, or recalling of products in the event of an incident. The Inspection Department administers Decree No. 115/2018/ND-CP prescribing penalties for administrative violations of food safety, which lists common violations by food production and business establishments, including Unsatisfactory physical conditions (safe distance from pollution sources, factory cleaning regime), equipment and tool conditions (trash cans), human conditions (personal hygiene, practical operations during production and processing), origin, shelf life of food.
