Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum 2023 Towards Green and sustainable growth

DNHN - Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, president of HUBA, stated that HEF 2023 will be held from September 13 to September 17 under the theme "Green Growth - A Journey to Zero Emissions."

"Vietnam is obligated to pursue green growth and sustainable development, as this is a global trend that all nations seek to achieve. Green growth promotion creates tremendous potential. Mr. Hoa shared that to achieve sustainable development for all nations, economic development must not follow the path of "pollution first, control later."

Mr. Hoa stated that the green growth program has been concretized through the "National Strategy for Green Growth in the period of 2011-2020 and a vision to the future." The year 2050. Through the national strategy, the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City approved the "Green Growth Strategy for Sustainable Development in the City Until 2030" implementation plan.

According to a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, the HEF 2023 is expected to be attended by the Prime Minister, leaders of ministries and sectors, and 1,200 - 1,500 delegates from international financial institutions (World Bank, IMF, etc.) IFC, ADB...), international organizations such as the World Economic Forum (WEF), foreign managers and leaders from 21 countries, domestic experts, and experts from countries that are succeeding economically.

The 4th Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum will be held in mid-September 2023, and 1,200 to 1,500 international and domestic delegates are anticipated to attend.
