The purpose of the cooperation is to create synergy through the lines, policies, and guidelines of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, combined with the accompanying role of businesses to solve the problem of waste. plastic.
After nearly 3 years after the establishment of PPC, the private sector has had a chance to grasp the situation of plastic waste in Vietnam and cooperate with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Women's Union, NGOs, and businesses The industry... deployed many specific action programs and welcomed more members to join PPC - with a total number of 30 members - to join hands to promote the cycle of better plastics.
The partnership with Duy Tan Recycling to collect and recycle 30,000 tonnes of plastic waste by 2027 reaffirms Unilever's commitment to promoting the Circular Economy model in Vietnam's plastics industry over the long term.
Long-term commitment to the sustainable development of Vietnam
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United Kingdom, Unilever Vietnam also received the honorary "50th Anniversary Recognition Award" in the program "The Great Awards" presented by the British Business Association in Vietnam (BritCham).
This award recognizes the significant contributions Unilever and its brands have made to the business environment in Vietnam, as well as their long-term commitment to the country's sustainable development and consistency in strategies and actions.
