DNHN - In 2022, the Vietnam Environment Administration will continue environmental monitoring for significant facilities and projects with a high potential for creating environmental contamination.
Mr Hoang Van Thuc, Deputy Director-General of the Vietnam Environment Administration, stated that the General Department will continue to conduct environmental monitoring activities for large facilities and projects with a high risk of causing environmental pollution, to ensure that projects operate safely on the environment.
Following the authorized plan, monitoring will be conducted twice a year in 2022. Phase 1 will oversee the elimination of deficiencies, limits, and the avoidance of the danger of environmental incidents in 2021, while the Supervisory Delegation orders the Factory to undertake environmental protection measures.

Phase 2 monitors the requirements mentioned in phase 1, evaluates the performance results at the end of the monitoring period, and requests the factory to implement relevant contents to ensure environmental protection during the period. next time.
Along with that, the General Department of Environment has developed a plan to implement and completely deal with the environmental pollution in river basins in 2022 and the coming years.
Specifically, it will continue to review and propose projects to tackle pollution of the Cau River in each locality, in which the immediate focus will be on controlling large dischargers and collecting and treating biological waste. activities and craft villages.
Continue to promote the implementation of the set uncompleted targets, especially the percentage of urban areas with centralized wastewater treatment systems.
In addition, strengthening the organization of inspection and examination of the observance of the law on environmental protection, water resources in craft villages, and production facilities that have discharge sources into the river; strictly controlling industrial waste from industrial parks and production facilities with large discharge volumes;
Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Vo Tuan Nhan suggested that the General Department of Environment focus on developing regulations on criteria for assessing establishments at high risk of environmental pollution (uniformly applied across the country), implementing monitoring or removing from the list of monitored establishments as a basis for the Environmental Protection Departments of the region to review and evaluate whether to add or remove from the monitoring list.
Continue effective monitoring of projects with a high risk of environmental pollution in the coming years, it is necessary to pay attention to maintaining, enhancing efficiency, and replicating the model of monitoring teams with a combination of state management agencies, businesses, local authorities, and the population to help strengthen effective, public, and continuous monitoring of the implementation of environmental protection policies in the establishment.
