Mr. Christian Flathman, Gulfstream's Director of Communications and Public Relations, discussed the secret to the brand's success as a manufacturer of world-class, safe aircraft and the allure of the collaboration with Sun Air.

Sir, when it comes to a private jet brand, Gulfstream is usually the first name that comes to mind. How did Gulfstream get there?

Gulfstream's growth is the result of our investment in advanced technology, precision manufacturing, unmatched cabin experience and outstanding customer support service. For more than 60 years, we have worked hard, learned from examples, and we believe that our next-generation fleet, who will contribute to Sun Air's offerings, will help us continue to build on that long-lasting legacy.

Aviation safety is always the first concern of passengers. And to provide a safe flying experience for its passengers, what measures and improvements has Gulfstream implemented?

Gulfstream is always investing in and improving its research and development initiatives, all with the goal of ensuring customer safety. Gulfstream's award-winning symmetric flight deck has significantly improved aviation's safety and efficiency. The active stick – a first in the industry — enables pilots to communicate nonverbally through physical clues. Ten touch screens — the most frequently utilized in the aviation sector — work in tandem with the phase information system to eliminate the flight deck's switches.

Gulfstream's new Combined Vision System (CVS) dual forecast displays combine with Advanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) and Synthetic Vision System (SVS) in a single, enhanced image increase the pilot's situational awareness and have the ability to approach more airports.

Our award-winning landing performance prediction system is designed to help pilots avoid overshooting the runway.

Additionally, Gulfstream designers and engineers consider health concerns when creating the cabin. Gulfstream's plasma ionization system operates whenever the aircraft's environmental control system is activated, actively looking for and neutralizing hazardous molecules in the air and on the surface - both on the ground and in the air - ensuring that fresh air circulates continuously.

Gulfstream's clientele are all "critical individuals." Time is associated with diamonds for them. How has Gulfstream optimized the time factor in their aircraft technology?

Gulfstream's team of engineers and designers have designed each of the company's aircraft with the goal of maximizing performance. A great example is the recently announced G800. This newest aircraft takes customers to more destinations around the world than any other business jet. When passengers fly long distances at maximum speed, they save time, the most valuable benefit. Gulfstream's high-speed range advantage can save customers up to 1.5 hours on flights longer than 6,500nm/12,038 km.

Can you tell us how many exclusive brand representatives (ISRs) Gulfstream appoints globally? What criteria are used to select an airline's ISR? And what prompted Gulfstream to begin its voyage in Vietnam with Sun Air?

Gulfstream now operates 32 ISRs internationally as a result of an exclusive representation agreement with Sun Air. Gulfstream hires independent sales agents for their expertise and commitment to promote and support Gulfstream. Sun Air occupies a unique position, assisting Gulfstream in positioning itself for growth in this critical market. Although Sun Air is a relatively new firm, it is a subsidiary of the Sun Group, which is well-known and respected in the local community. The consumer reach, knowledge, and skills of Sun Group will aid in the development of both the Gulfstream and Sun Air brands in Vietnam.

Gulfstream and Sun Air will continue to collaborate to stage the "Gulfstream Airshow" aircraft exposition at Van Don International Airport in the third quarter of the year following the exclusive representative cooperation signing ceremony on March 23. In 2022, the company will introduce a range of luxury aircraft, including the G500, G600, G650ER, and, most notably, the market-leading G700 jet.

The cooperation between Sun Air and the world's most famous jet company Gulfstream will bring the world's leading safety class luxury aircraft to Vietnam's tourism and aviation industry.
