DNHN - Mr. Jens Fiedler, the Director of BNI Suedost Region in Germany, expressed this sentiment enthusiastically while participating in the program "The Summit of the Top 2023" recently organized by BNI Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. Phu Quoc, Kien Giang.
This is also Mr. Jens Fiedler's first visit to Vietnam since the Covid-19 pandemic. This time, Enterprise & Integration Magazine spoke with him about the BNI activities he has participated in.

Can you describe your initial impressions of the "Top Meeting 2023" in Vietnam?
Mr. Jens Fiedler: This is my first conference in Vietnam since the Covid-19 pandemic, so I'm excited to reconnect with old friends and make new acquaintances. I always enjoy coming to Vietnam and working with BNI Vietnam.
What do you think about BNI Vietnam's prospects and its current operating trajectory?
Mr. Jens Fiedler: Ho Quang Minh, president of BNI Vietnam, visited my city many years ago. I had approximately 18 members at the time, while he had four. Currently, he has 8,000 members while I have only 600. Therefore, what you have accomplished with BNI in Vietnam over the past few years is astounding. You have cause for pride in this. Thank you so much for sharing this with us Germans, as we are learning from you and emulating BNI Vietnam's practices.

And could you describe your experience introducing BNI to Germany, including the lessons you learned and the successes you attained?
Mr. Jens Fiedler, what a captivating tale and enjoyable adventure! At age 40, I decided to leave my position as sales manager for Mercedes-Benz and start my own business from scratch. It was a networking organization. I do not have any customers or consumers. Before learning about BNI, I had only a handful of solid business relationships. They invited me to the meeting, and the BNI members assisted me greatly in my business endeavors. Thanks to BNI members, I have achieved these business outcomes. Currently, I adhere to the BNI philosophy.
When you join BNI, you will receive the BNI toolkit. It is great to grow together if you know how to use these BNI tools. It functions as a toolbox from which you can obtain solutions to any personal or professional problem, as the authors have already resolved it. Therefore, you can mutually benefit and collaborate extremely effectively.

Can you elaborate on the BNI Vietnam and Germany partnership?
Mr. Jens Fiedler: Of course. This is why I am present. I am from East Germany, which is home to the Vietnamese community. We wish to serve as a bridge between Vietnam and Germany, as well as between Vietnam and Europe. Due to this, we can collaborate closely to assist the community in reducing import and export fees between the two countries. Therefore, we have a tremendous opportunity to conduct business together.
What are your thoughts on the significance of the topic "Service Enhancement" that BNI Vietnam President Ho Quang Minh presented at this summit?
Mr. Jens Fiedler: I opened a Business Club in Germany, which is very similar to BNI in that giving comes before receiving. We must be available to serve and care for customers... And if you consistently give your all for their benefit, customers will bring a great deal of value. That is the most effective method for retaining customers over time. If you have a positive relationship with your customers, they will always be loyal to you.
Many thanks for sharing!
