DNHN - Currently, the combination of high-quality OCOP products and digital technology is a crucial factor in enhancing value and generating development opportunities for farmers and rural residents.

The forum "Exploiting digital economic potential in promoting OCOP products" was held in Ha Tinh on September 16 in the afternoon, with the participation of numerous entities, businesses, and individuals. This event marked a significant advancement in the application of digital technology to the promotion and sale of OCOP products, bringing many times the efficiency of conventional methods.
In his address, Mr. Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, elucidated the importance of employing digital technology in the promotion of OCOP products. He said the One Commune One Product Programme for the period 2021-2025 (OCOP Programme) is an important opportunity to awaken the potential of rural areas, increase people's income, and restructure the agricultural sector. industry, profession, services, and rural tourism.
As of March 31, there were 9,566 OCOP products with three or more stars, of which 65.9% were three-star products, 33.3% were four-star products, and 0.7% were five-star products. 20 5-star products with 5-star potential. There are 250 OCOP-compliant products in Ha Tinh, 12 OCOP products with four stars, and 238 OCOP products with three stars. These figures illustrate the efforts of numerous municipalities to enhance product quality and promote the OCOP brand.
According to the plan for economic and social development for the years 2021 to 2025, digital transformation is a top priority. Specialized management agencies, businesses, agricultural cooperatives, and rural residents must all prioritize the digital transformation of agriculture. The Central Youth Union has implemented numerous initiatives to promote digital transformation in the marketing and promotion of OCOP products, such as the introduction and sale of products on e-commerce trading floors and online sales channels.
The livestreaming activity of Bac Giang, which has generated more than 1.6 billion VND in revenue, is exemplary. Mr. Ngo Van Cuong remarked, "This demonstrates that if we apply digital technology skillfully, we can completely save time, money, and effort while achieving many times the efficiency of traditional methods."
At this forum, Ha Tinh's youth posed numerous questions regarding brand promotion on the TikTok platform and plans to encourage farmers and youth to use TikTok to increase their brand value. OCOP merchandise. Youth were enlightened and encouraged by the specific responses provided by the experts.
The Central Youth Union has pledged to continue assisting provinces, cities, and relevant units in organizing forums, seminars, and training on the "one commune one product" initiative, particularly about the digital conversion of content. The objective is to promote the efficient production and trade of OCOP products, particularly through e-commerce and online sales.
