Assist electronics manufacturers in their efforts to enhance labour relations

DNHN - The European Union and many other donors are funding the program through the ILO's Project on Sustainable Supply Chains for More Effective Post-Pandemic Recovery, which receives technical assistance from the Better Work Viet Nam Program.

The Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) officially announced the official commencement of the Consulting Program, which will assist electronics firms in improving labour relations and working conditions.

The program aims to assist e-businesses in their recovery efforts following the COVID-19 pandemic by enhancing their understanding and application of Vietnamese labour laws and International Labor Standards; developing a team of factory managers and core trade union officials; applying principles of effective electronic factory management; and improving their participation in the global electronics supply chain.

The European Union and several other donors are funding the program through the International Labor Organization's Project on Sustainable Supply Chains for More Effective Post-Pandemic Recovery, with technical assistance from the Better Work Vietnam Program. 

Participating enterprises are entitled to a comprehensive business improvement consulting support package worth US$15,000 including the following main contents: Consulting activities on labour law compliance by consultants trained by the ILO create, including a roadmap for improvement according to the specific situation of the business; 20 slots for standard and optional training courses (certificate); three quarterly seminars on topics relevant to the electronics manufacturing industry; guide enterprises to self-assess and identify improvement needs; 4 sessions in the Factory Core Employee Program for compliance officers and core union representatives; e-learning courses.
