DNHN - An Phong EZ is envisioned as a multi-sector, multi-sector general economic zone that serves as a magnet for investment and a catalyst for economic growth in nearby areas and across the nation.
Le Van Thanh, Deputy Prime Minister, recently signed a Decision authorizing the job of revising the general planning for the building of the Van Phong Economic Zone (EZ) to 2040, with a view to 2050.

According to the aforementioned decision, Van Phong EZ is positioned to be a multi-sector, multi-field general economic zone that attracts investment and serves as a catalyst for regional and national economic growth.
The purpose of the planned adjustment is to construct and develop Van Phong EZ in accordance with Khanh Hoa province's unique strategic location in terms of socioeconomic development, national defense, security, and safeguarding of national sovereignty.
Sea Island serves as the entryway to the Central Highlands' East Sea and the South Central Coast. Van Phong EZ is envisioned as a multi-sector, multi-field general economic zone that attracts investment and serves as a catalyst for economic growth in nearby areas and across the nation.
The maritime economy is the backbone of the economy; there is an international container transshipment port and logistics, urban, service, and tourist services; and industry plays a significant role.
Additionally, Van Phong EZ is intended to evolve into a dynamic economic center capable of producing new, high-level professions, acting as a catalyst for development, a smart, sustainable urban region with a distinct identity and international connectivity.

Concerning the development orientation of landscape architecture and urban design in the Van Phong Economic Zone, the decision placed requirements on the research and development of social and economic infrastructure systems in the direction of high quality, ensuring accessibility and benefits for residents, tourists, and workers in the EZ, in keeping with Van Phong's sea and island characteristics.
