DNHN - During the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, Ha Tinh attracted about 603,000 visitors, an increase of about 68% compared to the same period in 2023.
According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh, preliminary statistics show that tourist destinations in the province have welcomed about 603,000 visitors (an increase of about 68% compared to the same period in 2023), of which 841 were foreign visitors. The number of overnight guests is estimated at 51,455 (an increase of nearly 28,000 compared to the same period in 2023).

The 5-day holiday and the hot weather have created conditions for beach tourism to attract a large number of visitors. At times, many tourist destinations such as Xuan Thanh (Nghi Xuan), and Thien Cam (Cam Xuyen) became overloaded. The beaches were crowded, and accommodation facilities operated at full capacity but still could not meet the needs of tourists.
At the Thien Cam tourist area, in the first 4 days of the holiday, the number of visitors to Thien Cam for sightseeing and relaxation reached 85,000, an average of more than 20,000 per day, double the number in the same period in 2023. In addition, many localities attracted a large number of tourists such as Nghi Xuan district with 217,000 visitors, Ky Anh town with 150,000 visitors, Cam Xuyen district with 150,000 visitors, etc.

In addition to visitors, the number of overnight guests also increased during this period. Specifically, some tourist destinations achieved 100% room occupancy throughout the holiday such as Thien Cam (Cam Xuyen); Quynh Vien (Thach Ha); Xuan Thanh, Phu Minh Gia (Nghi Xuan); Hai Thuong (Huong Son), etc. The total room occupancy rate in the province during the holiday reached about 85%, an increase of 10% compared to the same period in 2023.
Not only beach tourism but also ecotourism and community tourism destinations in Ha Tinh during the holiday also attracted a large number of visitors for sightseeing and relaxation. These include destinations such as Rao An (Son Kim 1, Huong Son), Hai Thuong Ecological Tourist Area (Huong Son); Da Bac Eco Ecological Tourist Area (Nam Dien, Thach Ha); Dong Loc crossroads, Huong Tich Pagoda (Can Loc); Duc Duong garden house ecological tourist area (Nghi Xuan), etc.

The number of tourists visiting cultural and spiritual tourist areas also increased sharply at historical sites such as Dong Loc crossroads and Tran Phu relic sites.
It is known that in 2024, Ha Tinh province aims to welcome 4 million visitors. The results in attracting tourists during the April 30 - May 1 holiday have opened up many positive signals and prospects for tourism development in the friendly and hospitable homeland of Ha Tinh.
