5th Congress of the Vietnam Marketing Association: Innovation, digitalization, and affirmation of position

DNHN - The Vietnam Marketing Association (VMA) held its 5th Congress to summarize activities from the 2019-2024 term and set directions for the 2024-2029 term.
The Congress also conducted elections for the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee, Standing Committee, Chairman, and Vice Chairman for the new term. As a result, Mr. Tran Hoang, Chairman of VietnamMarcom and VMA Chairman for the 2019-2024 term, was re-elected as Chairman for the 2024-2029 term.

The Vice Chairman for the 2019-2024 term, Mr. Huynh Phuoc Nghia, Mr. Tran Quoc Viet, and Ms. Huynh Thi Xuan Lien, will continue their roles for the new term. Additionally, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Xuan Lam and Dr. Tran Dinh Ly were elected as Vice Chairmen of VMA for the 2024-2029 term.
The Congress discussed and agreed on the direction and tasks, as well as contributed to finalizing the Summary Report for the 2019-2024 term and the activity plan for the 2024-2029 term. It also amended and supplemented the VMA's Charter.
VMA's activities during the 2019-2024 term achieved many positive results, with a shift in the operational model towards digitalization to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic and to build a strong community. The association transitioned to a technological platform with strategic projects such as launching a new website, publishing the CMO review e-magazine, and organizing events like Vietnam Marketing Days, Vietnam Marketing Festival, and Vietnam Marketing Awards.
In terms of international cooperation, VMA continues to be an active member of the Asian Marketing Federation (AMF), contributing to VMA's sustainable role in Asia.
Mr. Tran Hoang has over 20 years of experience in the marketing communication industry, serving as a representative connecting national, regional, and international association organizations. He is known as the founder of the first specialized marketing and advertising technology library in Vietnam and VietnamMarcom. This is an educational organization specializing in marketing communication and brand building training.
In his acceptance speech, Chairman Tran Hoang pledged to strive to maintain unity within the Association, working with the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee to effectively implement the VMA's vision statement: "For a Creative, Humane, and Effective Marketing Industry." Additionally, the new Executive Committee will continue to discuss and concretize the goals and directions approved by the Congress.
