Vinamilk Pioneers the Application of Breakthrough GREEN FARM Milk Technology

DNHN - From December 15 to 17, 2023 - Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) officially launched the new product line Vinamilk Green Farm, produced with carbon-neutral green agricultural techniques and breakthrough double vacuum technology.

After five years of planning, research, and taste-perfecting, and more than ten years since the industry's first steps towards attaining carbon neutrality (Net Zero) in the dairy processing sector, Vinamilk's Green Farm product line is a testament to the "boldness - determination" that has defined the company's mission to provide consumers with the highest quality products.

From December 15–17, 2023, Vinamilk arranged a multisensory space experience event with the subject “Tasting Experience - Journey of Flavours with Vinamilk Green Farm” to commemorate this momentous transformation. Participants in the programme experienced interactive activities in a novel and unique art space; they also explored Vinamilk's meticulous journey to create the groundbreaking Green Farm vacuum-packed fresh milk; and they submerged themselves in a multi-sensory screening room while sipping glasses of chilled milk that soothed their taste buds in a cool space with a light scent of grass and flowers. Customers who checked in to take part in the experience were also given hundreds of exclusive gift bags by Vinamilk Green Farm on this particular occasion.

The programme took place at the Hanoi Opera House (Hanoi) and Lam Son Square Park (Ho Chi Minh City) to help inspire and spread the message about a green world, reduce greenhouse gas emissions towards carbon neutrality, and raise awareness about environmental protection to the public and the younger generation. At the same time, the event also created excitement for the people and visitors on the occasion of welcoming the new year 2024.

Breakthrough technology creates a premise for the development of an innovation strategy

The breakthrough of the new Vinamilk Green Farm product line is the application of double vacuum technology. This is a revolutionary innovation in the dairy processing industry as it has successfully solved the problem of preserving the nutrition and fresh flavour of milk.

Free radicals are one of the main elements influencing the homogeneity and taste change of milk, claim experts in dairy and nutrition. When paired with cold milk preservation at a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius during processing, double vacuum technology helps eliminate 50% of free radicals in milk through a closed process that runs from the farm to the completed milk cartons. Because of this, Vinamilk Green Farm products that are sold to consumers still have a rich, natural flavour that is appropriate for Vietnamese palates and has hints of flowers and grass.

Pure source of ingredients from an ecologically sustainable farming system

Vinamilk Green agricultural fresh milk combines pure components from an environmentally friendly, ecological agricultural system in addition to advancements in production technology. Vinamilk Green Farm is an ecological farm system that strives for Net Zero emissions by utilising a circular economy and sustainable agricultural practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and conserve natural resources.

Vinamilk farms, in particular, have implemented biogas technology to transform waste into sustainable energy and organic fertiliser, which is utilised to enhance soil fertility and quality. Vinamilk Green Farm recycled twenty-six thousand tonnes of water in 2022. As of right now, Vinamilk Green Farm farms use 100% renewable resources, which is equal to the energy required for two round trips to the moon, the water needed for 86 Olympic-sized swimming pools, and the amount of carbon offset equal to 30,000 football fields covered in vegetation.

These numbers support Vinamilk's dominant position in Vietnam's effort to reach the Net Zero 2050 aim.

Consecutively winning the world’s top prestigious awards

Vinamilk Green Farm has become the first milk brand in the world to win three prestigious awards at the same time for superior taste (three stars), safety and purity (clean label), and flavour and quality (monde selection). This accomplishment is a result of their creative processing methods and attention to the source of their ingredients.

With an acceptable threshold 125 times lower than traditional food safety regulations, the Clean Label Project (USA) certification is an award for Safety and Purity for products that pass more than 400 strict criteria on antibiotic residues, undesired plastic compounds, heavy metals, pesticide residues, and other harmful chemicals. The "Oscar" and "Michelin" of the food and beverage industries are Monde Selection and Superior Taste Award.
