DNHN - The Ministry of Industry and Trade held an "Online conference on market development with the system of Vietnamese trade representative agencies abroad" this afternoon, August 19.
The conference was held with direct points at the Ministry of Industry and Trade headquarters and 62 Vietnamese Trade Offices outside of Vietnam.
There are 61 Trade Offices and Trade Office branches in the Trade Office system at Vietnam's representative offices around the world. Which has 28 deals and 4 branches in the Asia-Africa region? (including 2 deals that have not been deployed in Iraq and Lebanon). 55 markets are going on at the same time. The Europe-America region has 26 sales offices and 3 branches. 60 markets are open at the same time.
A Vietnamese Delegation to the WTO and 3 Trade Promotion Offices are also in place (1 Center for Product Introduction in the US and 2 Offices for Trade Promotion in China).

The Vietnam Trade Office system in foreign markets has helped a lot with trade promotion, market research, and expanding export markets over the years.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that Vietnam's business deals abroad have helped the economy in many ways, including imports and exports. This is especially true for the overseas market.
Even though the global economy and trade are hard, Vietnam's imports and exports did well in the first seven months of the year.
Total imports and exports kept going up until they were worth more than 433.6 billion US dollars. In which the value of exports reached 217.3 billion US dollars, up 16.6% from the same time last year (when it was up 30.9%), and the value of imports reached 216.3 billion US dollars, up 14% from the same time last year. same time last year, and things were mostly under control.
The trade balance continued to have a trade surplus of more than $1 billion (during the same period last year, there was a trade deficit of $3.3 billion), which was good for the balance of payments, and helped keep exchange rates stable and kept economic indicators stable. other big picture things about the economy.
The exports of all commodity groups went up steadily, with fuel and minerals showing the most growth (up 48.7%). The group of agricultural and aquatic products went up by 14.6%, and the manufacturing and processing industry went up by 16.7%.
This was done by focusing on Vietnam's strong and well-used FTAs, such as textile, garment, leather, footwear, aquatic products, and a group of items that can take advantage of high prices to boost exports, such as chemicals, plastic products, fertilizers, and so on.
Since the trade deal is an important part of bringing more goods into and out of the country, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to direct the Trade Office system and the overseas trade promotion office to improve their understanding of the local market's information, needs, and new rules. This will help them quickly advise the Government and the Prime Minister on solutions for managing foreign trade and spreading information to associations.
At the same time, keep holding monthly briefings between the Ministry's functional agencies, the Vietnam Trade Office system in other countries, localities, associations, businesses, and other ministries and branches.
