Thirty years of the Vietnamese youth entrepreneur movement: Dedication, innovation, and solidarity

DNHN - The Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association commemorated the 30th anniversary of the Vietnamese young entrepreneur movement (1993-2023) with a ceremony on November 27 in Hanoi.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and numerous leaders and former leaders of ministries, departments, branches, and central and local agencies attended the event. To extend their sincere congratulations, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Vo Van Thuong, and Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue each sent flower baskets.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh depressed the button commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Vietnamese young entrepreneur movement amidst the event's solemn and festive ambience. In addition, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude and felicitation for the Vietnamese young business movement's thirty-year-long contributions, particularly during the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and the digital revolution. The Vietnamese young entrepreneur movement is a pioneering and innovative group, according to the prime minister, which is significantly contributing to the socioeconomic development of the nation. In addition, the Prime Minister emphasised the charitable, social, and community service endeavours of young entrepreneurs, which exemplified their compassion and sense of duty.
In addition, the Prime Minister provided guidance and motivation for the burgeoning Vietnamese entrepreneurial movement: sustain innovation, foster creativity, implement cutting-edge technology, enhance global competitiveness, and make meaningful contributions to society in the years to come. Assist in the endeavour to construct and safeguard the Fatherland. The Prime Minister urged all levels and sectors to foster an environment conducive to business activities and the growth of young entrepreneurs, as well as to consider and implement their recommendations and suggestions expeditiously. The Prime Minister aspires for young entrepreneurs to consistently exemplify business ethics, a passion for their homeland and country, adherence to the law, and effective performance of their civic responsibilities.
Mr. Dang Hong Anh, Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union, asserts that the Vietnamese young entrepreneur movement has transcended the nation's borders, carrying with it a consistent mission and vision. entails commitment, sharing, solidarity, and the generation of sustainable value.

Significant contributions have been made to the socioeconomic development of Vietnam by the young entrepreneur movement, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and digital transformation. Young entrepreneurs have demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, ingenuity, innovation, and the application of cutting-edge technology, thereby enhancing the nation's international competitiveness and aiding in the defence and construction of the Fatherland.
Examples of customary forums, awards, and activities hosted by the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association include the Red Star Award and: The Entrepreneurial Honour Award; presented since 1999. Vietnam Gold Star Award: Awarded in 2003 for corporate brand. The Outstanding Young Entrepreneur title has been bestowed upon young entrepreneurs who have begun their businesses since 2015. Forum for Private Economics Since 2016, the Vietnamese private sector has participated in a policy dialogue forum between the government and the private business community.
Since 2020, the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association has implemented numerous innovative social initiatives that demonstrate its sense of responsibility and compassion for the social community, including the Rice ATM, Oxygen ATM, and ATM F0: Rice and oxygen supply models, cash for people during the COVID-19 pandemic. Contributing to the fight against natural disasters and epidemics: Donation activities that annually raise hundreds of billions of dong to aid those impacted by natural disasters and epidemics, rainfall, and volcanic eruptions. Supporting orphans, impoverished children, and Agent Orange victims: Initiatives to construct charitable homes, schools, hospitals, awards for academic achievement, and presents for children whose parents perished as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This occasion marks the thirty-first anniversary of the Vietnam Young Business Club, which foreshadowed the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, being founded in 1993. The young business movement in Vietnam has coalesced, gathered, and produced numerous sustainable values for the nation.
At present, the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association boasts a membership of close to 19,000 individuals. Through its activities, it has surpassed 10% of the nation's gross domestic product and furnished employment for over 5 million individuals. In addition, the Association has coordinated a multitude of forums, activities, and awards to recognise, assist, and discuss young entrepreneurs.
