The inaugural Central Highlands Ethnic Cultural Festival commences at Kon Tum.

By consistently implementing the Cultural Development Strategy until 2030 and the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, the inaugural Cultural, Sports, and Tourism Festival of Ethnic Minorities in the Central Highlands will undeniably evolve into a significant event. It is a juncture of convergence and diffusion where ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands can engage in dialogue, meet, and share experiences, thereby assisting in the promotion of the region's majestic beauty, distinctive national culture, and human image. The establishment of a reputation for excellence in the Central Highlands among both domestic and international stakeholders will increase investment prospects and stimulate tourism growth in the region, with a specific focus on the province of Kon Tum. As of this moment, the Central Highlands continue to be a region that safeguards numerous intangible and tangible cultural heritages that are both historically significant and aesthetically pleasing, including communal houses and dwellings. The Festival encompasses a variety of activities, including a mass cultural festival featuring traditional national costumes, performances featuring excerpts from festivals and rituals associated with traditional ethnic cultures, and the introduction of such material.
