DNHN - On September 5, 2024, the "Safety in the Era of Artificial Intelligence Boom" seminar, organized by the Southern Digital Communications Association (SVDCA) and Cafeso Club, attracted numerous businesses and leading experts in artificial intelligence.
Mr. Nguyễn Đình Thắng, Vice President of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association, stated: “Data security and cybersecurity are not only essential needs but also the key to sustainable business development in the digital age,” aiming to provide knowledge about cybersecurity and data protection solutions for businesses in the digital transformation era.
Currently, global losses from cyberattacks are estimated at up to $8 trillion, projected to rise to $9.5 trillion by 2024. Every 11 seconds, an organization worldwide is attacked by ransomware. Moreover, over 353 million people have been affected by data breaches, with the average global cost of a data breach reaching $4.45 million. These are telling figures, especially in the era of the AI technology boom.
In the first discussion session, Professor Nguyễn Đức An, Mr. Nguyễn Đình Thắng, and Mr. Trần Quý shared profound insights on the global development of AI and its impact on the communications industry in Vietnam, helping businesses better understand how to apply this advanced technology to optimize operations and enhance competitiveness under the theme “Applying AI in the Digital Era – Communications.”
The second discussion session, themed "Cybersecurity and Protecting Businesses in the AI Era," featured respected speakers with many years of experience, including Mr. Đoàn Việt Hùng, Mr. Philip Hùng Cao, and Mr. Võ Thanh Mỹ. They provided in-depth perspectives on data protection during the AI boom and shared insights on new security threats in the AI era, from data protection to preventing and offering solutions for increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks.
Mr. Võ Thanh Mỹ – Chairman of the Southern Digital Communications Association (SVDCA) and CEO/Founder of NAVEE, shared his views on security in the AI era, emphasizing the importance of building a strong security system from the ground up to ensure business safety. His participation in the discussion at the event not only provided knowledge on security in the digital era but also served as an affirmation of SVDCA's commitment to supporting businesses, helping them thrive in today's digitalized environment.
The "Safety in the Era of Artificial Intelligence Boom" seminar provided knowledge and solutions for businesses during the AI boom. At the seminar, Mr. Đoàn Việt Hùng was appointed as Deputy Head of the Digital Transformation Committee. Following that, Mr. Hùng gave a comprehensive and in-depth presentation on the upcoming plans of the committee.
