DNHN - Recently, Otoklix announced the signing of an agreement with VinFast, becoming an authorized service provider for customers across Indonesia.
Overview of VinFast's new "partner"
According to DealStreetAsia, VinFast has partnered with Otoklix, an automotive aftermarket service startup in Indonesia backed by AC Ventures, to become its authorized service provider in the country. Founded in 2019, Otoklix aims to provide genuine car repair services such as oil changes, tires, brakes, batteries, and warranties, with a 14-day warranty commitment.
Recently, Otoklix launched a new academy specializing in training mechanics for electric vehicle maintenance, addressing the urgent need for skilled personnel in the specialized requirements of electric vehicles, with a particular focus on safety and technical proficiency.
Currently, Otoklix serves millions of car maintenance workshops, mainly in major cities in Indonesia. This partnership aligns with Indonesia's electric vehicle transition roadmap, targeting the domestic production of 600,000 electric vehicles by 2025. This plan underscores the necessity of comprehensive aftermarket services and repairs for electric vehicles, along with robust nationwide charging and battery swapping infrastructure.
The founder was in Forbes Asia's "30 Under 30"
Otoklix CEO and Co-Founder Martin Reyhan Suryohusodo is an alumnus of the University of Melbourne, majoring in Finance and Accounting. Previously, he worked at large organizations such as Catch.com.au and EY. He was also recognized by Forbes magazine in the "30 Under 30 Asia" list in 2021, which honors outstanding individuals under 30 in the Asia-Pacific region.
Martin stated, "The partnership with VinFast marked a significant milestone for Otoklix, expanding the company's reach and impact. As the electric vehicle market expands over the next decade, Otoklix is expected to focus on providing high-quality auto parts at affordable prices through collaborations with reputable parts manufacturers."
He also emphasized that specialized services such as battery maintenance and software management are attracting increasing interest from drivers, especially as the electric vehicle industry grows and is predicted to replace gasoline vehicles in the future.
