DNHN - Recently, the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province celebrated its 16th anniversary and the 19th anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13).

Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the BR-VT Provincial People's Committee, spoke at the ceremony and lauded the accomplishments of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises over the past 16 years. He requested that the Association's Executive Committee and members continue to promote the results achieved, serve as an information and connection channel to support small and medium-sized businesses in the province and contribute to the growth of small and medium-sized businesses in the province. In September 2023, the Association will celebrate the 16th anniversary of its founding by introducing and launching two newly established affiliated Branches, including the Long Dien District and Chau Duc District Branches. Simultaneously, the BR-VT Association of SMEs signed a cooperation agreement with the Association of SMEs in the Southeast provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, and Binh Thuan, as well as a digital transformation cooperation agreement with VNPT Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
The product display and introduction space, which has attracted nearly 60 businesses from within and outside of the province, is one of the highlights of the series of events commemorating the company's 16th anniversary. The event drew over 500 attendees who visited, enjoyed, and utilized products and services.
The Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province (BR-VT) currently has more than 500 members focusing on many different industries and fields. Nearly 98% of the business community is comprised of SMBs and their annual contribution to the provincial budget increases. In particular, SME enterprises will contribute more than 7,400 billion VND to the budget in 2020; 10,152 billion VND in 2021; and more than 12,000 billion VND in 2022; and create more than 500,000 jobs.
