Food safety assurance at the 2023 Vietnam-China International Trade Expo

DNHN - Two interdisciplinary inspection teams have been formed by the Department of Health of Lao Cai province to inspect and supervise enterprises such as hotels that host events, restaurants, food service establishments, culinary areas, and more.

The inaugural Vietnam-China International Trade Fair, 2023, will be held from November 10 to 15, 2023. This event is a component of the National Programme for Trade Promotion. 23 is celebrated annually in alternating years in the provinces of Lao Cai and Yunnan, China.
There are 529 standard booths at this year's fair; China has 156 booths representing 109 businesses from eight provinces and cities; Vietnam has 439 booths representing 165 businesses from forty-six provinces and cities; and eleven businesses from eight third countries have 24 booths at the fair. A total of one hundred food booths will be featured, featuring the involvement of over fifty provinces, cities, and businesses in Yunnan province, China.

Delegations began inspections and supervision at three large hotels (Muong Thanh, SaPaLy, Sao Sao), where provincial banquets and delegates stayed and dined (Muong Thanh, SaPaLy), with a total of seven centralized meals and 2,000 meals; rapidly tested 29 food samples; do not allow products that are not guaranteed to serve the event.

The majority of the food items exhibited at the fair are regional specialties from across the nation and internationally. Numerous products conform to OCOP requirements by including complete product information and expiration dates. used, exhibited atop elevated shelves. In regards to food service booths and food areas, enterprises also prioritize the sourcing of water for processing, the hygiene conditions, and the origin of product ingredients.

Furthermore, inspection teams consistently disseminate propaganda and serve as a reminder to fair participants to adhere to administrative and legal protocols. Products must feature comprehensive and precise information, and if required, can be traced back to their source. Food preservation and processing methods, as well as the raw materials used, must adhere to regulations. Throughout the event, inspection teams regularly monitor and are prepared to address any food safety-related incidents that may arise.
