Dong Thap will host the inaugural Pink Lotus Land Assembly Festival in 2023.

DNHN - The inaugural ceremony of the "Pink Lotus Land Assembly Festival – A Journey of accompanying development" was recently held in Cao Lanh City's Temple of Literature Park.

The program is organized in collaboration between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap Province and the People's Committee of Dong Thap Province. With the participation of provincial leaders from Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Ben Tre, Bac Lieu, Hau Giang, and Tien Giang, the opening ceremony was honored to welcome Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Member of the Party Central Committee; Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and Ms. Bui Thi Thom, Vice President of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.

Mr. Le Minh Hoan conceptualized the clubhouse as an exemplar of innovative design. Canh Tan Assembly Hall, located in An Nhon commune, Chau Thanh district, was the inaugural assembly hall when it was founded on July 3, 2016, with a membership of 105. To date, the province of Dong Thap has 145 Assembly Halls, which are attended by nearly 8,000 members and are located in the majority of communes, wards, and towns. These halls operate in numerous fields, including agricultural and rural production.

During his address at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Thanh Cong, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Mass Mobilisation Committee, and Provincial Party Committee Head, provided an overview of the establishment and evolution of the Assembly Hall. He also extended his sincere appreciation to the 145 Assembly Halls, whose invaluable contributions have propelled the Assembly Hall model to its current level of success over the years. Additionally, Mr. Cong anticipates the interest of investors, scientists, and international organizations to collaborate and support the Association in a variety of domains; Encourage Association members to strive for professional farming certification to construct a new village and progressively transform their community into a desirable place to reside.

The inaugural festival of Dat Sen Hong Assembly Hall in 2023 will have undergone a seven-year process of inception and progression. The organization of numerous practical activities provides the associations with greater opportunities for learning, exchanging, and progressively developing sustainably. The Festival continued its activities on November 19 until 4:30 p.m., featuring the following: A discussion regarding the Assembly Hall's role in the socio-economic development of the Dong Thap area; a visit to the Dong Thap Provincial Digital Transformation Centre; and the Festival's closing ceremony.
