DNHN - Mr. Trinh Ha - market strategy expert, believes that currently, investor awareness of asset management or asset accumulation is still limited. Therefore, it is necessary to organize more programs and training courses for investors.
Mr. Trinh Ha - market strategy expert, Exness Investment Bank, commented that potential investment is gold because it can address the risks that may occur in the near future. These are risks related to the growth of major economies worldwide stalling due to reduced consumer spending and signs of rising unemployment rates.
Additionally, the continuous gold purchases by major central banks, especially the BRICS group, aim to avoid reliance on speculation and the interest rate cuts by major central banks, which will cause the USD to depreciate.
Emphasizing investment opportunities, Mr. Ha said that gold is valued in USD, presenting a favorable opportunity to invest in gold. The Vietnamese market could also have regulations allowing investments in other assets such as digital currencies. In the future, this will be a potential field because currently, in some major markets like the US, Canada, and Australia, digital currency trading is already permitted.
Digital currencies also have some characteristics similar to gold, such as limited supply, which increases by only 1-2% a year and gradually decreases because the rewards for new mining will reduce in the next 4-5 year cycle.
Many opinions suggest that the Vietnamese asset management market holds much potential but still lags behind many countries in the region. It is noticeable that in Vietnam, investor awareness of asset management or asset accumulation is still limited.
Observing a market very close to Vietnam, such as Indonesia, they have introduced economic awareness programs into schools for high school students. After graduation, these students may follow different majors in university, such as economics or engineering, but they all have a financial knowledge foundation.
Even those working in engineering have the mindset and ways to manage their assets in the most optimal way.
“Vietnam should gradually change the mindset about nurturing financial knowledge for students from their school days. It is necessary to organize more programs and training courses for investors to better understand financial issues,” Mr. Ha recommended.
Furthermore, currently, the operations of investment funds are managed by leading experts. Therefore, people investing through funds is safer and more beneficial than investing in stocks themselves.
In developed markets like the US and Europe, 80-90% of investments are through funds; they buy fund certificates instead of directly owning stocks. Or they can buy market indices to ensure safety and achieve higher returns.
According to Mr. Ha, insurance is an important field that helps people and investors manage assets in the future when risks occur. In developed countries, the insurance ownership rate of the population is very high (over 90%). Owning insurance helps personal assets grow at a stable rate and are not lost if risks occur in the future.
